Some people in our area have asked in the past why Kalissa and I do not run any local tournaments, but tournaments at conventions. One reason, was that no one was really playing Bolt Action around in our area. Only in the last two years has that really popped up. Two, our friend, Matt moved into the area that is also a Warlord Raider. He happens to be closer to Hit Point Hobbies than we are. I think it is 20 minutes for him, as opposed to, 45 minutes for us. Especially, when it comes to game nights during the week were nearly all of the rush hour traffic heads in that direction, which makes 45 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes give or take. So Matt has more available time to our local community, at least in Aberdeen. I am sure the whole non-stop working on my end did not help for us. However, we had discussed with Matt that we like doing the conventions and he actually likes local tournaments. So we happily decided amongst ourselves to not step on each other's toes and help each other out. The reason I am posting a tournament that was not ours is simply that Kalissa and I were there to help on rulings during the tournament. The venue of Hit Point has the tournament split into three rooms between 36 players. That can be a lot to manage just on numbers alone. Plus, we get to see a lot of gamers we have not seen since our last tournaments. There were a lot of people who travelled to get to this tournament. I believe that one guy traveled from as far as Maine! We saw other fellow gamers from Virginia and Tennessee. And we got to see our local friends as well. A bunch of old faces we have not seen, since the beginning of the shit show of 2020 also appeared just to see what was going on. It was nice to hang out with so many people we have grown to know in one location. Maybe, the future holds more events like this one with just as positive of a response. Anyway, here are photos I took of the Tournament. Enjoy!
